Cannot use Lambda expressions [message #1705474] Sun, 16 August 2015 09:13 Go to next message

Hello Community,

I have a big problem with my Luna Eclipse and cannot figure out, why.

I wanted to learn Javafx and I was soon told to use lambda expressions. When I first tried it out, I had to realise, that it would not work.

I already searched a whole lot of forums, but I did not find a suitable solution for my problem.

I tried to:
- update java to version 8
- update eclipse
- add to my JRE
- different settings of my project workspace

Thank you in advance

From what you write it's hard to tell what's going wrong. "it would not work" isn't enough of a description of your problem.

Hint: the primary group of preferences to look for is: "Java Compiler > JDK Compliance", what does it show in your Project Properties?

best,
Stephan

Hey,

Thank you for your answer, but I finally found the solution.

It NOW shows 1.8 ..
