Still investigating the stale cache issue mentioned in topic another topic (https://www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php/m/1704012/#msg_1704012), I came across the conceptional introduction of the query result cache in https://www.eclipse.org/eclipselink/documentation/2.6/concepts/cache008.htm which is identical for release 2.4, 2.5 and 2.6.

The design document https://wiki.eclipse.org/EclipseLink/DesignDocs/398411 mentions, that "A option will be added to invalidate the query results cache, this will be enabled by default." while the concept page states: "The query results cache does not pick up committed changes from the application as the object cache does..."

Looking at the bug report https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=352500 and its successor https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=398193, they both have the fix version 2.5 and are marked as FIXED.

Should the conceptual documentation of the query result cache be updated and is there some additional information available regarding the changes in the design document (https://wiki.eclipse.org/EclipseLink/DesignDocs/398411), ie. the name of the option?

Thank you and best regards
