-clean launch [message #1704248] Sun, 09 August 2015 15:56 Go to next message

Recently I installed a plugin, Jadclipse. The creators claimed that you might have to perform an "Eclipse -clean launch" in order for the installation to be consummated. I have tried to inquire as to exactly what that is, unsuccessfully however. That is why I'm here. So what is an "Eclipse -clean launch", and how do I perform it?

Everything about launching Eclipse with parameters is documented in http://help.eclipse.org/topic/org.eclipse.platform.doc.user/tasks/running_eclipse.htm

OTOH, any install instructions recommending a clean launch are suspicious, installing software via the regular channel (i.e., Help > Install New Software) should not need this.
