Hello everyone,

I am at a point where our Eclipse based applications are ready to be
elevated to a "product level." A need we have (that I would think is shared
by many) is product licensing and license management to control copies of
our applications that are purchased by customers.

In short, I'm polling the community for ideas/feedback in this area. What
are you using? Home-grown approaches? Commercial solutions that support
Eclipse based products? Perhaps there is an Eclipse initiative I'm unaware
of that strives to address this?

Thanks for any help; my searches through the eclipse.platform newsgroup
archives came up with very little on this issue (surprising!)... perhaps
there is a more appropriate newsgroup to post this to?

Thanks,
-Pete

I looked and did not find anything, so I developed my own component. If
you are interested in using it, let me know off-list (I would probably
charge you something for it).

Hi,
I realize this is an old thread, but didn't find any more recent discussions on this topic. Our company is now very interested in license management for RCP-based applications and we can't seem to find any information / solution out there for how this can be done either on the level of individual bundles within the application or the whole application itself. Does anyone here have a solution yet?

Thanks!
