I can make both shell and composite transparent under WINDOWS:
shell.setAlpha, new Composite(parent, SWT.Transparent),
however, these two methods shown above cannot work for LINUX (Ubuntu, Red
Hat, Red Flag)

How to make both Shell and Composite transparent under linux?

thanks,

Frank
ps. now I use jre1.6 for linux.
