Problem with Mars on Kali [message #1700982]

(i also posted this in the newcommers forum)
Unfortunately after an entire day of trying to get this to work i have no other option to come on here. i have tried to fix this but it dosent work all i get is the mars boot screen and then it closes and dumps a error log.
The Log is attached

This is a clean install of kali linux. brand new repository.

Does your application (independently of SWTBot) start correctly on this
environment? This kind of error make me wonder your version of GTK/X is
supported by your version of Eclipse Platform/SWT.

it starts fine, but it dosent even reach the workplace allocation though, other than that the launcher / start image thing come up no problem. i just have no idea whats up.
