Keeping CSS theme when copying models [message #1697234] Tue, 02 June 2015 11:36 Go to next message

Dear all,
I notice that when I select some elements in a diagram and I copy and
paste those elements, for instance, in Microsoft PowerPoint it works.
Nevertheless, if I do the same with a diagram where I have some custom
css to create a theme, these customizations (colours, ...) are ignored
and not shown in the Powerpoint.
Is this the expected behaviour, or is it some kind of bug?

Best,

Víctor

Hi Victor,

Can you please provide some steps to reproduce the issue? Also, are you using Papyrus Luna or Papyrus Mars milestone builds? I couldn't reproduce the issue on Mars, and the Export to Image feature has been rewritten on Mars, so maybe that's just a Luna issue?

Hi Camille,
It's a little bit wierd. I'm using Luna SR2.
The context is a SysML internal block diagram.
First, when I try without the theme, I copy and paste in a Powerpoint
and it works. Then, I apply the theme to the diagram and then copy
feature is not working at all, either with keyboard shortcut or by using
Papyrus Edit submenu from the contextual menu.
I'll give it a try in Mars.
Of course, I could take a screenshot instead of copying and pasting, but
I don't think it's the best solution.

Hi Camille,
Some more details on this. I tested in Mars and got the same results.
Nevertheles, I learn that the problem is in copying the container block
of the sysml internal block diagram. If I select some of the css-styled
elements inside the root block it works perfectly. Somehow, it looks
like applying the css prevents the user from copying the whole container.

Best,

Víctor

Hi,

I still can't reproduce the issue Sad Copying styled blocks from a SysML IBD (Or parts, or the whole diagram) still works fine for me

Can you please give more details on the following:

- How do you apply the stylesheets? Is it a CSS Theme (Workspace), a Project-level Stylesheet, or a local one? (Model/Diagram)
- Does it fail on any stylesheet (Including very simple ones), or does it fail only on a specific stylesheet?
- When you make the copy, is there any entry in the error log?
- When you look at the Edit > Copy menu, is it enabled?
