planning for release 0.5 [message #1696035] Thu, 21 May 2015 06:00 Go to next message

Hello,
since we introduced some new features requested by the community and made some major refactorings to keep the architecture sound, we had to change the release date.

Here the new plan:

New date: 30.09.2015

Features:

Big Features and Refactorings (already done):
- architecture refactoring to enable standalone statemachine model, editor and code generator
- integration of rich code editor with proposals (from Google Summer of Code)
- improved inheritance for actor structure and begavior

The main goals for the release are:
Quality:
- stabilize the new features (more testcases)
Documentation:
- create a complete eTrice feature model for deriving documentation and testmanagement for all features
- complete eTrice feature reference documentation
- improved tutorials
- example projects with much more details than the tutorials have
Usability:
- unify and improve Message Sequence Chart (MSC) and Data Logging
- fix some minor editor bugs
- improve code editors and proposals
Runtime:
- add generic runtimes for FreeRTOS and bare metal

Any other topics or changes?

Thomas

Hi THomas,

thanks for this proposal.
I think this is a reasonable list for the upcoming release.
