Hi,

Is there any plan to support Persistence without xtext / xtend, same as changing rule engine ?

Yes, the idea is to have all services of Eclipse SmartHome being "pimped" to be usable through GUIs via the REST API, so this also applies to configuring the persistence services.
But this is currently rather low prio, stuff like rule engine and sitemaps come first - unless you volunteer for a contribution on this aspect!
