Team Synchronizing - Eclipse synchronizes on commit [message #1691362] Mon, 06 April 2015 11:19 Go to next message
Eclipse UserFriend
Last week I updated to Eclipse Luna and the Synchronize view is working a little differently for me. With Kepler, I would synchronize my Java project and I would see all my outgoing changes. I could then commit files piecemeal based on the feature I was working on. So, I could commit 2 files for one feature and then commit another 2 files for a different feature. In the past, after the first commit, Eclipse would remove the first 2 files from the view leaving the other two files. Now, Eclipse starts the synchronize process all over. This slows things down a lot especially when I'm working on a Java project with a lot of files in it. Is there any setting I can change so that things worked like they did before?

Thanks,

David

What version control/scm system are you using? git? svn? cvs? something else?

I use svn (Subclipse client) with Eclipse Luna, and use the Synchronize view all the time, but I don't see any behavior like what you describe.

Well, I switched from Subversive to Subclipse and things are working as they did before. Not sure what changed exactly when I switched to Luna, but I'm happy now.
