I have installed a customized version from the ubuntu packages. This corresponds to the 3.8.1 debbuil version.
I want to migrate to the lunar version to use JAVAFX.

I tried to do it by adding the version to the eclipse update list, but I received plenty of incompatibility messages. Does this mean I have to uninstall completely the previous version and install the luna version?
Will it automatically keep my sources files ?
Thank you for your information

3.8 was released mid-2012. You can download Luna (no 'r' at the end) from, but you'll have to instruct it to use your existing workspace yourself, either when prompted at startup or with the -data argument from the command line.
