Migrating from a customized eclipse version to Lunar [message #1690586] Sun, 29 March 2015 10:20 Go to next message
Eclipse UserFriend
Hello,
I have installed a customized version from the ubuntu packages. This corresponds to the 3.8.1 debbuil version.
I want to migrate to the lunar version to use JAVAFX.

I tried to do it by adding the version to the eclipse update list, but I received plenty of incompatibility messages. Does this mean I have to uninstall completely the previous version and install the luna version?
Will it automatically keep my sources files ?
Thank you for your information

3.8 was released mid-2012. You can download Luna (no 'r' at the end) from download.eclipse.org, but you'll have to instruct it to use your existing workspace yourself, either when prompted at startup or with the -data argument from the command line.
