Cannot clean workspace in headless mode [message #1690517]

I developed a headless plugin in which I import some projects into the workspace, then need to clean the workspace in order to trigger the migration of the imported projects to the current level. For that purpose I tried "iWorkspace.build(IncrementalProjectBuilder.CLEAN_BUILD, monitor);". This does not work: no error occurs, but control is returned immediately and nothing is changed in the workspace.
Any idea about how to fix this?
