Hi,

I am working on one Swing project and therefore use VE.

But the other day I was closing Eclipse while opening the
other one and all my .metadata got messed up So I moved
everything out of my ~/workspace and with cleaned ~/workspace
I opened Eclipse. Then I closed it and moved my project
manualy back to ~/workspace then I opened Eclipse again and
imported my project - it was there - GREAT!

I have been working on my prject very extensivelly but since
I didn't need to use VE I didn't notice that I am
not able to open my old JFrames, JDialogs back in VE
designer - this is horrible since I need to do some
changes with layout and VE was a big help. I do not know
how I can imported it back there.

Please help! I need it so badly.

Thank you,

david

Ufff, Wont be able to answer this since
this happens more then a week ago and since then
I have zillions of errors in .log :(

Anaway, one crappy way is to delete file from Eclipse
workspace and then create a new JavaBean thru with the
same name then to manually delete the file and replace with
the old one. Everything seems to work this way it;s just
that I have about 15 classes and to do this with each will
be horrible.

You can try this:

1. Create new Project "Project"
2. Create new JavaBean as JFrame
3. Put one button there
4. Close Eclipse
5. Make a copy of your Project directory
6. Open Eclipse
7. From eclipse delete the project "Project"
8. Import your copied Project back to Eclipse
9. Here we go you wont see the layout of your JFrame with button

I think there is some way how to get it back but
it might be that I am doing something wrong.

Thank you,

david

Oh I am stupid! :)

Just right click on the file in Eclipse and "Open in VE"
does the trick :)
