CVS Label Decoration has disappeared [message #325150] Mon, 11 February 2008 05:48 Go to next message

Hello,

I have a problem with the CVS Decoration. It is suddenly gone on all
levels! I haven't done anything unusual. I have checked
Preferences->General->Appearance->Label Decorations->CVS. I am using
Windows XP with Eclipse 3.3.1.1.

Any clue what could be the problem?

Regards,
Mads

Which view (Pacakge Explorer, Projet Explorer, Navigator, ...)?
Are you cartain the project did not get detached from CVS? To check,
right click the project (or any file in it) and open the Team sub-menu;
what items do you see in that menu?

Package explorer. It is not detached, I can do all CVS commands
(synchronize, update, commit, tag etc.). Yesterday I managed to get the
decoration labels on the first directory level. I don't know how. Today
I found out if I do not select any project, wait for Mylyn JIRA -
connector to finish, then I get the decoration for all projects for all
levels. If I first expand other projects (except for the first Project,
for some reason), then I don't get any decorations at all. Very strange.

The only thing which has changed lately, is that our JIRA DB has been
offline the last couple of days. Could the JIRA connector of Mylyn cause
the problem? Our JIRA DB will go online today or tomorrow. I will check
if I see any difference.

That sounds like something that should be reported as a bug against
Mylyn. If you can reproduce it please enter a bug report detailing the
steps: https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs
