How start to use xText [message #32641] Thu, 19 March 2009 08:12 Go to next message
Eclipse UserFriend
Hi!

I can't understand how to start to use xText plugin. I've downloaded this
release
http://www.eclipse.org/modeling/download.php?file=/modeling/ tmf/xtext/downloads/drops/0.7.0/S200903170819/tmf-xtext-Upda te-incubation-0.7.0M6.zip,
but when I tried to use it as Update site in Eclipse "Software update...",
I got an error about unresolved dependencies. What should I do to start
use this plugin?

Thank you.

Sorry, problem solved. But I've got another problem - after installation I
can't see XText project in the list of Wizards. How can I make a new XText
prject.

Hi,

the easiest way to install and use TMF Xtext ist downloading the
distribution:

http://oaw.itemis.com/openarchitectureware/language=en/2837/ downloads

Regards,
ILyas

Note that this distribution contains openArchitectureWare's Xtext, not
TMF Xtext. TMF Xtext is the successor of oAW Xtext.

Hi Karsten, hi Kirill,

you can download a TMF Xtext distro there, too.

Regards,
Sebastian
