Hi,
I am rather new to eclipse plug-in development and I am faced with the
challenge to come up with a branding plugin that customizes the splash
screen, alters the bunch of standard icons and all the typical branding
items. These look like standard things but in my case it is preferrable
that it happens through an update site. Is there a way to incorporate this
branding functionality into an update site, which you call from an
out-of-the-box eclipse installation? As far as I understood changes in
config.ini file are required if you want to set a new splash screen and a
certain default perspective on startup, and I am not sure how this file
can get changed when the whole branding plug-in is triggered via an update
site.
Any help will be appreciated! Thanks!
