I had my news reader configured improperly. The actual email address is
adbowers@gmail.com.

I tried to find a bug for this in bugzilla, but without success.
Maybe you could create a bug and describe the error behavior?

This should not happen anymore. The experimental code to always reuse the
current editor tab was removed (I believe for M5).
