running JDT on MS Terminal server ? [message #31194] Fri, 11 October 2002 19:51 Go to next message

I am completely new to the eclipse environment, but I am looking into using
JDT in a classroom environment, running it on a MS Terminal server.

My first experiment confronted me with the problem that a lock-file is used
to prevent multiple instances being launched.

Has anyone had any experience with setting up JDT in a comparable
environment? Is there any place I can look for information to help me on?

Many thanks,

Johan Donne

Did you try to start eclipse with the -data option to give the users
their own workspace?

Looking for some other stuff I found this link, but don't know if it's
any useful for your situation:
http://dev.eclipse.org/viewcvs/index.cgi/%7Echeckout%7E/plat form-update-home/doc/shared_eclipse_installs.html
