Is .sitebuild/sitebuild.xml still needed? [message #307126]

I recently checked out an update site project that contains a
..sitebuild/sitebuild.xml file. The file contains references to three
features, but the update site itself only references one feature. I cannot
find any reference to sitebuild.xml in the sdk documentation.

Is the file still needed for Eclipse 3.2? Can the .sitebuild folder be
deleted?
