Impossible to install PDT using the Eclipse updater [message #30816]

I am fighting with this issue the last 1-2 weeks. Here are the steps to

The Updater tells me that PDT Feature (1..0.0) depends on
org.eclipse.wst (2.0.0). The problem is that the officially accessible
via the Updater version of WST is 1.5.4 - so as result PDT can not be

packages, but that's not the point.

Am I doing something wrong or is there something messed up?

PDT 1.0.0 probably only works on Eclipse 3.3.

The site shouldn't be showing PDT 1.0.0 for an eclipse 3.2.2 install.

More details -

If one downloads the PDT Runtime v. 0.7 from here -

http://download.eclipse.org/tools/pdt/downloads/?release=S20 070611-M1

And opens the feature.xml file inside, the reported version is actually
1.0.0.

Is this some kind of mess up?

Seems quite major. No idea why it hasn't been fixed since June 13. It
seems it is impossible to install PDT under 3.2.2 at the moment.

End of April and in May the version has been changed from 0.7 to 1.0.0
and dependencies to WST 2.0.0 are added. And somehow this has found its
way under the 0.7 Stable build on the web site - which makes it
impossible to install using the Updater as the Updater has access only
to 1.5.4 of WST.

I believe it's because Eclipse Europa release will be avaible in 6 days
and PDT devs had to switch to WST 2 due to some needed functionality.
