Re: [dtp-connect-dev] DB version in the Data Source Explorer

Hi Stefan...

The version that comes back is the version reported by the JDBC driver - whatever that happens to be. I think in all cases I can recall, that seems to be the version returned by the databases themselves, not the driver.

[dtp-connect-dev] DB version in the Data Source Explorer

Hello,

In the 'Data Source Explorer' under the node 'Database Connections' are seen the available database connections. When the Eclipse (Ganymede or Galileo) is connected to a data source through some of this connections in the node label you may see (closed in parenthesis) the DB version. For example: New MaxDB (MaxDB v. 7.7.4).  My question is:

Is there shown the DB driver version or the actual version of the DB with which Eclipse is connected?

Best wishes!
