Charting overview

The charting service provides standard business graphics for multiple purposes such as reporting test histories and monitoring CPU utilization. A number of chart types are supported and the service can be configured to change the look and feel of the generated charts. Charts can be rendered for different environments such as the web and eclipse workbench. The following showcases the look and feel of the different device renderers that are supported. To view the SVG charts you need the Adobe 3.0 SVG viewer. Here in the showcase the SWT charts are snapshot images and therefore user interactions (e.g., tooltips) will not work.

Note: The look and feel of SVG and SWT rendering will converge in a later release.

The following information topics will help you familiarize yourself with the charting service and how to use it:

  1. Input format
  2. Use cases
  3. Renderer Features
