TPTP's Business Intelligence and Reporting Tools (BIRT) Trace Reports
The
following document provides the necessary information for getting started with
the Business Intelligence and Reporting Tools (BIRT) Trace Reports in TPTP.
Table of Contents:
Business
Intelligence and Reporting Tools (BIRT) Trace Reports are used to aggregate and
summarize numerous profiling events over a period of time. The BIRT trace
reports present profiling events in tables and charts so users can easily
locate trends and effectually analyze.
The
following dependencies are required by the BIRT Trace Reports:

Business Intelligence and Reporting Tools (BIRT)
·
Graphics Editor Framework (GEF)
·
Data Tools Platform (DTP)
For
more information, see the Requirements section of the download site for this TPTP release.
1. Install the necessary dependencies.
2. Remove the following
plug-ins from the <Eclipse
installation directory>/plugins and <Eclipse installation directory>/dropins/eclipse/plugins directories:
o
org.eclipse.tptp.trace.report.birt_<version>
o
org.eclipse.tptp.trace.report.birt.ui_<version>
o
org.eclipse.tptp.trace.report.birt.doc.user_<version>
o
org.eclipse.tptp.trace.report.birt.source_<version>1
1 SDK only.
3. Rove the following
features from the <Eclipse
installation directory>/features and <Eclipse
installation directory>/dropins/eclipse/features directories:
o
org.eclipse.tptp.trace.report.birt_<version>
o
org.eclipse.tptp.trace.report.birt.source_<version>1
1 SDK only.
4. Extract the BIRT Trace
Reports archive to the <Eclipse
installation directory>/dropins directory.
5. Start Eclipse with the -clean
option.
