|TPTP Runtime and SDK|
|Runtime packages contain the TPTP features and plugins for eclipse. SDK packages contain source features and plugins in addition to what is in the runtime zip files.|
|Native logging is an implementation of Common Base Event v1.0.1 for use in C/C++ environment. The runtime package contains the library to be used in the runtime environment. The SDK package contains code and library required for developing with this common base event implementation and a sample for illustrating how to use this implementation.|
|The Agent Controller is a daemon process that enables client applications to launch host processes and interact with agents that coexist within host processes. The runtime packages contain the agent controller to be executed as a standalone application. The SDK packages contain code and libraries for writing native agents for the agent controller.|
* Agent Controller for OS/400-ISERIES requires the IBM XML Toolkit (5733-XT1) to be installed. Please contact your iSeries vendor for a copy of the IBM XML Toolkit; alternatively, if you have a copy of the Enterprise edition of iSeries, you may already have a copy of the Toolkit on your CD of optional programs. In either case, install Option 3 of the Toolkit.
** Agent Controller for Z/OS-ZSERIES requires the XML C++ Parser 1.4 for z/OS to be installed.
Note: Developers who intend to extend TPTP in the 4.2 timeframe or beyond can download the new Agent Controller technology packages. This new version is not being used in the 4.1 TPTP runtime environment, but is usable stand-alone and is expected to be integrated with the TPTP runtime in the TPTP 4.2 release.
|New technology Agent Controller|
|These packages contain a new data collection and communication infrastructure targeted for exploitation in the TPTP runtime in its 4.2 release. This represents the future direction and is not integrated with the TPTP runtime in 4.1. The packages are expected to be of use to developers who intend to extend TPTP 4.2 or beyond.|
|Generic Log Adapter|
The Generic Log Adapter package is for running the Generic Log Adapter as a standalone application.
