Tips on how to get involved with ORMF
If you are reading this page, you might be interested in joining us at ORMF either as a committer or as a contributor. This is in itself great news, thank you!
There are a number of resources you may peruse to get an idea on what ORMF is about and what development at ORMF is like. Here are some pointers:
- ORMF's proposal
- The benefits of ORMF
- Various articles and presentations on ORMF
- ORMF's creation review slides
- ORMF's newsgroup eclipse.technology.ormf; this contains discussions, comments, requests for help on a day to day basis. It can be useful to peruse or, even better, to contribute ideas, questions etc.
- ORMF's dev mailing list ormf-dev@eclipse.org, which will be used by and for committers and contributors to the project, in order to discuss the details of development related issues.
You can subscribe to this mailing list here
- ORMF's announcements mailing list ormf-announce@eclipse.org; this will be used to communicate any important announcements (f.i. releases) related to the project.
You can subscribe to this mailing list here
- ORMF's Bugzilla for any issues and/or feature or enhancement requests. The project's issues can be found by searching under "Technology" as Classification
and "ORMF" as product
- Last but not least, the Useme newsletter; this contains a periodic summary of all that has happened to Useme and ORMF since the last publication. You can explore copies of the previous issues in our
archive, and you can also subscribe to it.
As you may know, the Eclipse Foundation has a very well established process for contributing to an Eclipse project. Please do get in touch with us if you require any explanation of the process or are simply curious about ORMF development.
