Implementation of IHE Profiles: XDS
About IHE XDS Implementation
The IHE XDS Profile is a specification for the exchange of clinical documents among healthcare enterprises. OHF currently supports:
- ITI-15: Provide and Register Document Set Transaction
- ITI-16: Query Registry
- ITI-17: Retrieve Document
- ITI-18: Registry Stored Query
XDS Document Consumer: Supports the Query Registry (ITI-16) and the Registry Stored
Query (ITI-18) which allows an application to issue IHE defined
queries for documents against a central Document Registry. The XDS Consumer also supports
the Retrieve Document (ITI-17) transaction which allows for the retrieval of a particular
document from a central Document Repository.
XDS Document Source: Supports the Provide and Register Document Set Transaction (ITI-15)
which allows an application submit a new document or replace an existing document in
a central Document Repository.
XDS Metadata: Supports the XDS Document Source and the XDS Document Consumer by
providing a central model of the XDS Metadata concepts which are used by the central
Document Registry.
