I posted patch for WTP M5 to use JBoss 4.0.2. It had problems (Encoding

reply to my original post. I am still using 4.0.2 but I assume that it
should be possible to use it for 4.0.3 also.

Did you try it?

Hi Marko,
I had tried that plugin some time ago but my eclipse reacted badly (I
had the JBoss as a server definition but I wasn't able to create a new
instance). Happily I found the post and this time it worked without a
flaw. Thanks a lot! Or should I say hvala? Where are you from? If you
have the time could you make a new versione for the 4.0.3?

I am from Croatia so I do understand hvala. At this moment I am still
using 4.0.2 version of JBoss. At this moment I am very busy . I will
take a look at 4.0.3 as soon as I find time, but unless there is
something very different in 4.0.3, you should be able to use 4.0.2
definition for 4.0.3 version of JBoss.

I've made the JBoss 4.0.x server definitions available as a separate
plugin, available at my website: http://www.davedunkin.com/

Just download org.jboss.ide.eclipse.serverdefinitions_0.7.0.jar and put
it in your plugins directory. No messing with the existing plugins is
required. The WTP team has said they won't include the JBoss 4 server
definitions in the main distribution, so a separate plugin is the way to go.

Hi Dave,

I'm receiving a bunch of errors if I start my JBoss. See attached jboss log.
I use JBoss 4.0.2 with WTP 0.7.
I configured Eclipse to use JDK 1.4.2_09 (in
C:\Programme\Java\j2sdk1.4.2_09) and use it with the server declaration.
The JavaHome in my server declaration is also set to this path (it
complains if I use the JRE path).
On start the server tries to access files in
C:\Programme\Java\j2sdk1.4.2_09\lib which are found in
C:\Programme\Java\j2sdk1.4.2_09\jre\lib (e.g. ZoneInfoMappings).

What's wrong here ?

The server starts up and EJBs run fine. But when I try to invoke the
Hypersonic Database MAnager from the jmx-console this does not work (one
more ZoneInfo error in log).

Workaround is to copy the files from
C:\Programme\Java\j2sdk1.4.2_09\jre\lib to
C:\Programme\Java\j2sdk1.4.2_09\lib.

The file "jboss4.serverdef" contains some differences to some earlier
posts regarding JBoss 4 ("<classpath id="jboss">" element)

Best regards

Wolfgang

Based on Dave's worked and what I found here in the group I modified the
serverdef plugin to work for me (Eclipse 3.1.1, WTP 1.0M8, JDK 1.4.2).
Maybe someone could take a look whether it makes sense.

See attached file.
