Deleting Web Projects [message #71332] Thu, 03 February 2005 12:16 Go to next message

It seems that when you delete a Web Project from your workspace, it is
not removed from Application Servers.
To be more precise, I have found this behavior with WTP 1.0M2 and Tomcat
4.1 and 5.0. I had to open its configuration and under Modiles tab,
remove the deleted project.

Is this the normal way to do this? Or is it a bug (if it is a bug I can
open it in bugZilla)? WebSphere Studio tooling removes automatically the
projects from the Application Servers.

Thanks in advance,

Chemi.

Hi Chemi,

This feature has not been reimplemented in WTP (it was removed due to
some refactoring efforts). Please verify that a defect does not exists, and
open one. We should be able to address this soon (possibly during our M3
test/fix pass).

Kind Regards,

I didn't find anything similar, so I opened Bug 84526:

current nightly build, new config, howto add dependecy-jars?! [message #72088 is a reply to message #71936] Mon, 07 February 2005 12:27 Go to previous message

Hi all,

the current Nightly-build is great... all -to me- known bugs are fixed
(also the junit test shows a couple with tomcat... but I don't use
tomcat... :P ) I also just found out about a number of great features
like xml validation...

The generic-server configuration has been completly rebuild and seems to
be very stable... now I can even debug the admin console of the oc4j and
it seems as if the config is able to add ejbs correctly on its own...

BUT I have a problem which was also there before the new generic-server
stuff but that time there was a "work-around" now the work around is gone...

QUESTION: How to include dependencies and classes from other projects in
my classpath?!
In the old generic server config I was able to add them to the
"run-configuration-classpath" in the new one the run config is
overwritten each time by the wtp-plugin... :(
I'm sure there is a way to do that... and it has to be another one than
adding the classes to the (ant)build 'cause that would cost me hours
(about 100MB of dependencies!!!) each time I will go to debug the server...

Thnx for help in advance...

bye...
