hi. i just installed eclipse 3.2 and phpEclipse on ubuntu 9.04 using the following instructions:

eclipse installation:
http://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/ubuntu-...ipse-java-ide/

phpEclipse installation here.
http://www.phpeclipse.com/wiki/Installation

Now, I can't seem to be able to create php files. Every time I try to double-click a php file to open it,
I get this error message: "An error has occurred. See
error log for more details
". It then shows a tab called
"PHP Editor", but this tab has no content.

I found a post that says to "uninstall anything gcj related via synaptic". I am not sure if I should do this. http://woventhorns.blogspot.com/2008/12/how-i-got-php-eclips e-running-in-ubuntu.html

What did I do wrong? Please help.

Thank you.

See this page for instructions to specify the Sun JVM for Eclipse to
use: http://wiki.eclipse.org/Eclipse.ini

Hope this helps,
