The environment:
-Windows XP 64
-Orion 2.0.7
-BIRT 2.1.1 + using the BIRT Viewer for report display

The issue:

BIRT reports work fine on this server for about a week (load varies
throughout the day but during high volume times assume 1-2 report requests
per minute) but at some point we get the following exception:

AxisFault
faultCode: ReportEngineService.runReport( )
faultSubcode:
faultString:
D:\apps\BuildingCenter\BC412_45\buildingcenter\birtdesigns\s tandard\workorder\WorkOrder_Dispatch1251746342422PDGBMCDOJJL D.rptdocument.tmpfolder\.reader.count
(Access is denied)
faultActor:
faultNode:
faultDetail:

{http://xml.apache.org/axis/}stackTrace:D:\apps\APP_SERVER_R OOT\birtdesigns\standard\workorder\OUR_REPORT1251746342422PD GBMCDOJJLD.rptdocument.tmpfolder\.reader.count
(Access is denied)

Upon investigating the directory where the temporary folders get created
it is clear that at some point these are not getting removed. It appears
that under normal execution these folders are created and deleted as the
engine generates the rptdocument file. I have also noticed some .lck
files on rptdocument files existing in this directory when the issue
arises which i do not normally see. We use a millisecond timestamp +
session id for unique naming of the rptdocument file.

Any ideas on what might cause this scenario and how to resolve it?
Upgrading from 2.1.1 for this server is not an option.

thanks,
Brian

Brian,

Can you log a bugzilla entry for this? This may have been fixed in a
later version.
