I've been having this problem off and on for over a year on two machines
with fedora 9, 10, 11 and eclipse 3.3, 3.4, and 3.5 (with various
bundles). I finally found someone else that has had the problem, but the
response to fix the problem 1) doesn't work for me (I'm not on a windows
box), and 2) doesn't explain why.

The problem: often/sometimes when using eclipse help, the browser (or a
pane) opens the web server running locally (using the IP address and port
80). If the web server is not running, help times out and says it can not

I just did a clean install of fedora 11 and eclipse 3.5, and had the
problem again. I have done almost no configuration (i.e. this happens
"out of the box"). I have no defined "infocenters", for example.

Strange that I've had a hard time finding others with this problem, as
I've hit it regularly and in different configurations/versions for a while.

Anyone know a fix? And, more interestingly, can anyone explain what is
going on?
