Need to know about the support of features in EPF [message #38317] Wed, 22 August 2007 14:58 Go to next message

Dears!

I have few questions related to the features of EPF. Please let me know,
because I want to know the answers of these before using it.

1 - The platforms, it currently supports?
2 – Does EPF support to work for distributed development teams, who work
at different location, to work on a signle project?
3 – Does EPF provide an interface in web page form?
4 – Does the EPF support for the automation of process, here my meaning of
automation is whether it suggests you what will be the next step /
alternative steps in the process automatically?

Thanks in advanced.

Regards!— N.

Ali,

1- EPF Composer currently runs on Windows and Linux. Published Web sites can
be browsed on Windows Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox. Supported
version control systems are IBM Rational ClearCase (including CCRC), CVS and
Subversion. See EPF Composer Download page for specific information.

2- Distributed development is supported with a version control system.
Please refer to this guideline for more information:
Using EPF Composer with a Version Control System

3- Not for authoring methods, but the resulting method can be published in a
Web site, to be deployed stand-alone or to a JEE server.

4- Process enactment is not supported directly by EPF Composer. The closest
I can think of is the Wilos tool, which allows process orchestration (see
Eclipse Plug-in Central for more information). Someone else may tell us of
any other enactment tools.

I hope it answers your questions.
Regards,

Ricardo Balduino

Ali,
>
> 1- EPF Composer currently runs on Windows and =

Published Web sites
> can be browsed on Windows Internet =

is not=20
supported directly by EPF Composer. The
> closest I can think =
of is the=20
Wilos tool, which allows process
> orchestration (see Eclipse =
