I'm just trying to get started with OHF. I ran in to some issues
which I am reporting here as "newbie user experience".
Followed
http://wiki.eclipse.org/index.php/OHF#OHF_in_the_Eclipse_CVS
to get to the plugins and loaded all 45. Since they don't build
I guess this was a bad strategy. Ok. patience...
I decided to try for just the OHF_UI_Client. But the plugins needed
for the client depend upon some of the plugins that can't build.
Try again after lunch...
Some of the plugins won't build because they need activation.jar.
I can't get a copy of this Sun licensed code. There is an open source
implementation,
GNU JAF: JavaBeans™ Activation Framework
Does it work? Is GPL better or worse than Sun License?
Wait...if you add org.eclipse.ohf.ihe.atna.transport.required to
the build path of
org.eclipse.ohf.ihe.atna.payload
org.eclipse.ohf.ihe.xds.soap
and clean, then you make progress.
org.eclipse.ohf.hl7v2.ui does not build because its build path requires
jre1.5.0_07. Delete it and add my jre. More progress.
That leaves org.eclipse.ohf.bridge.* (5 plugins) and
org.eclipse.ohf.h3et.vocab.core which depends upon a plugin not in CVS.
I think that is enough.
Try org.eclipse.ohf.client.ui->META-INF/MANIFEST.MF->Testing Launch.
OHF Client comes up!
Create a RHIO, try to configure it. What to put for RHIO server?
Doesn't seem to matter, the values are not saved.
At least I have a build to play with.
John.
