How does one override AbstractTreeEditPart to lazily load the children? [message #246340]

I have certain AbstractTreeEditParts that I only want to load children for
when the node is told to expand (click on the plus), since this operation is
fairly expensive and I do not want ot populate child items unless the user
requests them.
