files disappear after new search [message #1398298]

I do a "File Search" using ctrl+h to search for file. I click the resulting file from the Search tab. Now I do another File Search but the old file disappears from the main window when the new file is displayed. How can I prevent that from happening?

Check your Search Preference Page, it sounds like you'd rather it not reuse editors.

I have "Reuse editors to show matches" unchecked and every new search uses the same tab unless I pin the search.

There has to be a way to have Eclipse use a new search tab without me having to manually pin it each time.

I'm using the PDT version of Eclipse and searching a PHP project.
