Two editors on one model - Unable to change the model in one of them [message #244126]

I have opened a model in two different editors.

If i change the model in one of the editor and open the same model in
the other editor, it gives me following exception (and i cant see the
editor view):
"You are attempting to modify an unmodifiable resource!"

Now, i understand that i am trying to modify the model that i have
opened from a file, but not set up for editing.

How do i debug this? How do i make the file set up for editing when
opening in the second editor.

i will suggest that you copy the model first in a temporary file and then open it from that temp file.
then you wont get that exception..,
