Hi,
I'm using BIRT 2.1.1 and trying to export data from the BIRT viewer. I
have fields that are defined as string in the BIRT report definition
that contain leading zeros. The export treats that data as numbers -
trimming off the leading zeroes ... and worse yet, if the data ends with
an "e" and a number, converts it to exponential notation. (e.g.
00000000092e2 turns into 92.0E+2).
I guess it would be a nice feature if the fields I was exporting were
identified as decimal in the report, but I want them treated as strings.
Is this a bug, is it intended to work this way, or is there some way
around this?
Thanks
