Hello

I have two Nodes A and B. I can connect there by the connection AB. After I
create the node A, I can create a connection AB that creates the Node B
automatically. Now I would like to have the possibility to create a Node B
and create a connection to Node B that creates automatically the Node A.

What can I do to have this behaviour?

Thank you for your help

Urs

Hi Urs,

In your ecore metamodel your AB EReference has a opposite reference?
Graphically you speak of Connection Handle (see
http://help.eclipse.org/ganymede/index.jsp?topic=/org.eclips e.gmf.doc/tutorials/diagram/connectionCreationAssistantTutor ial.html)

Hello

Thank you for your very fast answer

I studied your link, but I think it doesn't solve my problem. My workflow is
like follow:
1. The editor is empty
2. I create the node B
3. I select the connection Tool (AB) in the toolbox
4. I move the mouse to a empty area on the editor (actually the mouse cursor
shows a forbidden symbol)
5. I press the left mouse button
6. Drag to the node B

Now it should create the Node A an create the connection between A and B. My
problem is, that I have on point 4 on my workflow the forbidden mouse
cursor.

The other way around (create Node A, create Connection...) works by
implementing a ContainerNodeEditPolicy.

Have you any other idea?

Thank you for your help

Urs
