Web-projects forget that they are... [message #210488] Tue, 18 March 2008 10:25

I have it again and again, that my web projects suddenly "forget" that
they are indeed web projects. This manifests such, that after a rebuild
I suddenly get tons of errors, the Web App Libraries entry in the build
path is suddenly empty, the fact that Tomcat 5.5. is selected as target
runtime is unchecked (and I thus get compile errors even on
javax.servlet.Servlet...), etc. etc.

Comparing with a backup I found out, that for some strange reason
occasionally the file
<project-dir>\.settings\org.eclipse.wst.common.component just seems to
disappear. Maybe the writing fails or something of that sort... This is
definitely starting to get somewhat annoying!

Any ideas, what could cause these hickups?

Michael
