Should C++ code generation work with Kepler SR2? [message #1261234]

Hi,

Should C++ code generation, as mentioned in the user guide
(http://wiki.eclipse.org/Codegen_description), work with Kepler SR2?

And if so, are there any dependencies on other plugins (e.g. XTend)? In
an attempt to make it work I tried to re-install the "Papyrus C++
profile, view and code generation (Incubation)" plugin and I noticed
that the update manager ad to change the version of Xtend. I then
assumed it was an upgrade (arrow pointing up), but currently its version
is 1.4.0.v201306110406, which seems to be rather old.

Hi,

I managed to generate code by checking out the source of Papyrus git ,
which contains the TestCDTintegration as described at
http://wiki.eclipse.org/Codegen_description

However, it does not show the C++ source editor. It shows a message
about a missing TextEditorModel. Is this repairable somehow?

I'm with you on this one.

There's something fishy going on with the context-menu, as eclipse complains that the entry "Generate C++ code" is a disabled option. Therefore it disappears after the first click. Profiles and packages are imported, the plugin for Papyrus is installed and everything seems ready to go.

Is it the same with you?

The C++ code generation should well work with Kepler SR2.

Currently, the C++ code generation is based on Acceleo and should not imply a dependency to xtend (although we will likely migrate to xtend2 C++ soon).

The message "MissingTextEditorModel" might indicate that the plugin oep.texteditor.model is not active.

If you have the option to install Eclipse Luna, could you please provide feedback if the problems still exist?
