WST XML editor doesn't use IMARKER.CHAR_START/END? [message #207269] Mon, 21 January 2008 10:06 Go to next message

Hello,

I'm adding error markers to XML files, which I edit with WST's XML editor.
If I set the attribute IMARKER.LINE_NUMBER the row gets an error marker.
But if I instead set IMARKER.CHAR_START and IMARKER.CHAR_END the problem
are only seen in the problems view, but nothing is seen in the XML editor.

Is it really so that WST doesn't use these attributes for marking in the
XML editor? I'm using WST version 2.0.1 on Eclipse 3.3.1.1

BR,

Anders Olsson

It does, but it's best to always set all three values.
