Hi

I'm trying to get a simple servlet to work based on the WTP community
tutorial
http://www.eclipse.org/webtools/community/tutorials/ServletS cenario/ServletScenario.html

I've followed the screen shots and tried to run the servelt but it fails.
The first time aournd it complained about not being able to parse web.xml.

Unfortunately I'm in a bit of a mess now as I cannot reproduce this
message at all. When I try and rerun the servlet I get an alert box
directing me to the logs. I fire up the console, sign in and filter all
logs with the ALL option and there's nothing. I appear to have confused
the IDe somehow. If there are any ides out there on how to dig myself out
of this I'd be very grateful!

I'm using Eclipse 3.2.2, WinXP SP2, Java 1.4 and Websphere CE 1.1

Thanks

You should retry it with JRE 1.5 or newer.

Thanks Nitin,

I tried that originally but it is incompatible with that version of CE
apparently.

I'm not sure what log you are trying to look at, but I suspect the one this error message
is about wouldn't require a sign-in or filter ... I think it's the eclipse error log it's
referring to, that can be found in your <workspace>/.metadata/.log file.

(or, from About box of Eclipse, pick "configuration" and then pick "view log".)
