Hudson installation via apt-get fails [message #1220461] Wed, 11 December 2013 16:41 Go to next message

Hi forum,

I'm new to Hudson and want to install it on an Ubuntu server via apt-get.

#cat /etc/apt/sources.list.d/hudson.list
deb hudson-ci.org/downloads/debian/ binary/

#apt-get update
Ign hudson-ci.org binary/ Release.gpg
Ign hudson-ci.org binary/ Release
Err hudson-ci.org binary/ Packages
  404 Not Found
Ign hudson-ci.org binary/ Translation-en_US
Ign hudson-ci.org binary/ Translation-en
W: Failed to fetch hudson-ci.org/downloads/debian/binary/Packages 404 Not Found

E: Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead.

Please note that I had to remove 'http://' from the above section as I can't use external links as long as I have fewer than 5 posts.

Do you have any hint for me?
Many thanks in advance!

Cheers,
Sebatian

Hi Sebatian,

I use the following entry in the file "/etc/apt/sources.list.d/hudson.list":

deb hudson-ci.org/debian /

Please prefix "hudson-ci.org" with "http://" to get this working ... (you know, system limitations ...)

So long ...
Denis
