Hi

I have read the Fragmentation management v0.4.ppt from cvs and i am not
sure if i unterstand Slide 32. What is a template and why is it managed
by the preprocessing provider. Is it used for code-completion-templates?

Kind regards

Hi Sebastian,

The fragmentation management can be in very high level divided roughly to
two parts:
The pre-development model, aka pre-processing (like J2ME Polish and
Annocracy provides) and
The post-development model, aka post-processing (like Tira Wireless
provides)

The discussion that which model is more important and/or is easier is
another topic.

During the development happens a lot of manual actions that we should now
analyze that are
there such tasks that we could ex. re-produce with templates.
The preprocessing might be enhanced with a possibility to use templates &
code snippets that
does solve some coding issue.

The page 32 tries to open the abstract workflow during the pre-processing.
The templates could automate some fragmentation tasks during the
development.

But how the templates are used is yet not defined so well and the slides are
in draft state.
The main point here is to think that how we could use templates.
