How to tell version (M5, M6, etc) by Build ID? [message #192803] Wed, 11 February 2004 16:49 Go to next message

Just a quick question, is there a simple way to tell what exact version of
Eclipse you are running based on the Build ID? We have some users here
who are unsure of the version they have (M4, M5, M6, etc).

Thanks,
Dave Green

You need to match the build id to the date that the milestone build was
released.
From the download page (http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/index.php):

M6 20031218
M5 20031121
M4 20031010
M3 20030828
etc.

If reporting bugs to Eclipse it is always good practice to put the build id
(and the milestone if you know it).
