I am working for a company where the development is done on a private network without access to the Internet.
There are some plugins that we need for our eclipse platform (egit for example).
How can I download the plugin w/o eclipse (and then I will copy it to the private network for installation.

It used to be that you downloaded the plug-in and dropped it into
eclipse/plugins. If you do it that way, the correct subfolder is now
eclipse/dropins. It's been a long time since we did it that way, but it
should work. If your exact plug-in isn't made available for download,
that's another matter, but I think generally that all or most should be
downloadable.

Hope this helps.

Some of the plugins or features are installed in /usr/lib/eclipse but not egit/jgit.
I don't know what to do in order to download it without eclipse and to incorporate it to eclipse on the private network.
Thanks for any help
