Random hangs with WTP 1.5.3 [message #188647] |

I've downloaded Eclipse 3.2.2 (build M20070212-1330) and seems to work ok
on my notebook with Centrino Duo, 1Gb ram and Win XP Home. Then installed
from Callisto Discovery Site WTP 1.5.3 (v200701251935) and started
experienced random hangs. Most usually it hangs for some minutes using
code assistant (and the strange thing is that if I switch to another
window the code assistant popup is still shown on my window, the javaw
process is using 0% CPU).
I've tried using jdk 1.5.0_09, 1.5.0_10 and 1.6.0, always same result: if
the WTP plugin is not loaded eclipse is ok, with WTP loaded it hangs.
I've tried launching eclipse with -debug -consolelogs and then pressing
CTRL+BREAK, nothing happens. What can I do? I've an old eclipse 3.1
installation with an old WTP release and it works fine.

It wouldn't hurt to try adding -XX:MaxPermSize=128m to your VM
arguments. It's recommended for Sun JVMs when using WTP and it might
have an impact.
Cheers,
