Hi,
i've created a webapp in eclipse ver 3.2.
my jsp looks like this:

<%!

private boolean checkLoginRule(HttpServletRequest request,
HttpServletResponse response, Integer nLevel) {

// if user was already authenticated pass him on
if (request.getSession(true).getAttribute("userID") == null)
response.sendRedirect("index.jsp");
else {
Integer nUserLevel
=(Integer)request.getSession(true).getAttribute("userRole");
if (nUserLevel.intValue() < nLevel.intValue())
return false;
}
return true;
}
%>

i'm getting an error:
HttpServletRequest cannot be resolved to a type

What to do?

Is the class on the project's build path? Targetting a valid server
runtime will usually make it available.
