exploded deployment. [message #174136] Wed, 12 July 2006 16:10 Go to next message

Hi,

I would like to know how to publish a WAR/EAR file in exploded format. Is
there a setting that I can use to enable this? By default, it creates a
war and .ear file for me. During development it is time consuming to
create a .war/.ear for every simple change. Any suggestions on how I can
overcome this problem?

Thanks,
Praveen.

I would like to second this question. Specifically, my platform is JBoss
4.0.2.

Manually, we have done it in the past by creating a symbolic link from the
JBoss deploy directory to an exploded ear. That way, if we work in an
exploded-ear-structured directory, we can directly link from the deploy
directory and not have to do *any* copying. I would rather, however, work
within Callisto WTP, if possible.

Thanks.
