Greetings,

I am currently running eclipse-platform 3.7.2-1 on ubuntu 12.04. I have updated eclipse and installed all cdt software. I have attempted to install the rse user runtime 3.4.2 package as follows:

Downloaded RSE runtime 3.4.2 zip
extracted files
used the ubuntu terminal to copy features file and pasted it into [b]sudo cp -R * /usr/share/eclipse/features
I did the same for the plugins
opened eclipse
clicked on window, then show view, then other......I did not find the remote system view!

How can I make the remote system work on eclipse?? Why is the remote system view not appearing?

Please install RSE with Help > Install New Software... instead.

Do this as root if you want it for all users.
Just copying files doesn't update required administrative data.
